| MAJOR SPONSOR - VISY RECYCLING |
At Visy our aim is to transform waste from the urban environment into valuable, desirable products.
At Visy, this is our passion, we make it, we take and we recycle it.
This is what we call the closed loop.
Visy Recycling processes more than 2 million tonnes of recyclables per year in Australia and New Zealand - material that otherwise would have ended up in landfill.
Visy services nearly 2.2 million households and 30,000 schools and businesses every week. Committed also to providing education about recycling and the environment, programs such as ‘Environment Detective’ and ‘World Recycling Games’ are available via Visy’s website www.visy.com.au

‘Cartridges for Planet Ark’
This very successful printer cartridge recycling program has now diverted over 5 million cartridges from Australia’s landfills.
Collection boxes are located in major retail stores that sell printer cartridges such as Australia Post, Officeworks, Harvey Norman and Dick Smith Electronics stores, and also in over 15 000 businesses across the country.
The program is sponsored by the manufacturers of cartridges such as Lexmark, HP and Brother and sends zero waste to landfill, guaranteed. Printer cartridges are recycled by resource and recovery partner Close the Loop in Melbourne, producing a revolutionary wood replacement product called eWood that can be used in fencing, signage, furniture and much more.
